  1. Assess the link between motivational theory and reward. (P3.1)
Evidences required to achieve this criterion are: (A) One motivational theory (e.g. Taylor, Mayo, Maslow, Herzberg, McGregor, McClelland, Vroom) has been briefly explained. (B) The relationship between the theory and reward has been explained. (C) A conclusion has been drawn, with reasons or evidence, stating whether or not this relationship will be useful in motivating employees in the selected organization.
  1. Evaluate the process of job evaluation and other factors determining pay. (P3.2)
Evidences required to achieve this criterion are: (A) The process of job evaluation used in the selected organization has been briefly explained, including: (1) knowledge and skill requirements; (2) decision making authority; (3) working conditions; (4) salary increase and promotions; (5) overtime and shift pay. (B) Other factors that determine pay in the selected organization have been explained. (C) A conclusion has been drawn stating whether or not the job evaluation process and other factors determining pay in the selected organization contribute to the achievement of the organization’s purposes.
  1. Assess the effectiveness of the reward system in different contexts. (P3.3)
Evidences required to achieve this criterion are: (A) The reward system used in the selected organization has been explained including objectives, components and “total reward.” (B) How a performance based reward system, a team-based reward system, and a profit-sharing reward system help in bringing about the following has been explained: (1) Attraction and retention; (2) Motivation and performance. (C) A brief conclusion stating whether or not the reward systems are effective has been made with reasons or evidence.
  1. Examine the methods that your organization uses to monitor employee performance. (P3.4)
Evidences required to achieve this criterion are: (A) The methods of monitoring employee performance in the selected organization have been explained. (B) The effect of these methods on the following has been explained: (1) Employee motivation; (2) Employee productivity.
  1. Identify the reasons for cessation of employment with an organization. (P4.1)
Evidences required to achieve this criterion are: (A) Four reasons for cessation of employment with the selected organization (such as retirement, justified dismissal) have been identified. (B) Four reasons for cessation of employment with another organization (such as retirement, justified dismissal) have been identified.
  1. Describe the employment exit procedures used by two organizations. (P4.2)
Evidences required to achieve this criterion are: (A) The exit procedures used by the selected organization for the reasons identified for P4.1 have been described. (B) The exit procedures used by a different organization for the reasons identified for P4.1 above the have been described.
  1. Consider the impact of the legal and regulatory framework on employment cessation arrangements. (P4.3)
Evidences required to achieve this criterion are: (A) Important Maldivian laws relating to employment cessation have been explained. (B) Regulations concerning the cessation of employment have been explained. (C) The impact of these laws and regulations has been explained in terms of compliance.
  1. Identify and apply strategies to find appropriate solutions. (M1)
Evidences required to achieve this criterion are: For P3.2: A brief recommendation has been made stating how the job evaluation process in the selected organization can be made more useful in achieving the organization’s purposes.

Evidences required to achieve this criterion are: For P3.3: An appropriate method has been used to assess the effectiveness of the reward system in the selected organization and justified with valid reasons.
